High-precision automatic instrument for measuring bursting strength of paper, paperboard, and corrugated materials.

RI 9005
Automatic Digital Bursting Strength Tester is a high-precision laboratory instrument used to measure the bursting strength of paper, paperboard and corrugated board. The automatic operation ensures accurate, repeatable and reliable test results with minimal operator effort.
The test specimen is clamped securely over a rubber diaphragm. Hydraulic pressure is applied automatically and uniformly until the specimen bursts. The maximum pressure at the moment of burst is sensed by a pressure transducer and displayed digitally as the bursting strength.
Used to determine the maximum hydrostatic pressure a material can withstand before rupture. It is a digital alternative to the analog Mullen tester, providing precise readings and eliminating human error.
Based on the Mullen Method. A specimen is clamped between plates, and hydraulic pressure expands a rubber diaphragm. A pressure transducer detects the burst point and the system records the peak value.
