Manual hydraulic tester for measuring bursting strength of paper, paperboard, and corrugated materials.

RI 9049
The Bursting Strength Tester (Analog Type) is a standard testing instrument used to measure the bursting strength of paper, paperboard, corrugated board, and similar sheet materials. It determines the ability of a material to withstand pressure applied perpendicular to its surface.
The test specimen is clamped securely over a rubber diaphragm. Hydraulic pressure is applied gradually using a pumping mechanism. The diaphragm expands and applies pressure on the specimen until it bursts. The pressure at the point of rupture is noted as the bursting strength.
